I only know about James from his daughter, Jean's marriage record. That record mentions that he worked as a Wright and possibly in Yarrow, but that's it. I've looked for a birth record, without luck and even looked for possible births of other children, but again no luck.
KEY EVENTS AND DATES
11th June 1790
James's daughter, Jean married Robert Biggar in Selkirk parish church. Robert was employed as a servant to an advocate called George Hume (I think) at Carterhaugh. Jean's father was named as James Thomson, a Wright. Jean was from the Parish of Yarrow.
