I discovered Isabell Brown and her husband, John Mien, through the birth record of their daughter, Agnes Mein (or Mien) in Newton in 1774. This led me to the record of John and Isabell's marriage in 1771. This line is giving me problems with the spelling of their surname - when I first discovered the line through Agnes, it was spelled 'Mein', but when I discovered Agnes's birth and John's identity, it was spelt 'Mien'. Later, as I found the records of John's children, they are all (except Agnes) recorded as 'Mein'.
