We discovered George through the birth record of his son, Henry Martin (7). Through that I was able to find the record of his marriage to Jean Hogg. Nothing else yet - George is a more common name than Henry and so more difficult to track down. There is nothing about a George Martin living in Alloa or Clackmannanshire in the relevant period, so his family may have lived elsewhere at that time.

George's son, Henry married Mary Adie in the Parish of Alloa. The record reads:-

"Hendry Marton and Mary Adie both in this

parish recorded their names for proclamation

of banns upon the 10th Dec'r 1803"
